Malaysia’s Primer Coated Plywood Producer Manufacturer factory Suppliers

Primer coating on plywood offers several advantages, making it a beneficial step in the finishing process. Here are some of the key advantages :

  • Improved Adhesion: Plywood is a porous material, and applying a primer helps seal its surface, creating a smooth and consistent substrate for the final paint or finish. This enhanced adhesion ensures that the topcoat adheres better to the plywood, reducing the risk of peeling or flaking over time.
  • Increased Durability: Primer coatings provide an additional layer of protection for plywood. They act as a barrier, preventing moisture and other environmental elements from penetrating the wood, which can lead to swelling, warping, and decay. As a result, the plywood becomes more durable and has an extended lifespan.
  • Even Finish: Plywood tends to have varying levels of porosity and absorption rates across its surface. A primer helps to even out these differences, creating a uniform base for the final paint or finish. This results in a smoother and more professional-looking end product.
  • Time and Cost Savings: Applying a primer coat can save time and money in the long run. It reduces the number of topcoats needed to achieve the desired colour and finish, as the primer ensures better coverage and minimizes the absorption of the topcoat into the plywood.
  • Stain Blocking: Plywood may have natural tannins or other substances that can cause discoloration or staining on the surface. A primer with stain-blocking properties can prevent these substances from bleeding through the topcoat and affecting the paint’s appearance.
  • Enhanced Paint Performance: Primers are designed to enhance the performance of the topcoat by providing a stable and consistent surface. This can result in improved colour retention, better sheen, and increased resistance to wear and tear.
  • Facilitates Customization: Primer coatings can be tinted to match the final paint colour, making it easier to visualize and apply the desired finish – available with minimum order quantity.

standard plain chipboard and melamine chipboard Manufacturer factory Suppliers Malaysia

We supply standard plain chipboard and melamine chipboard.

Our chipboard is made rubber wood and tropical wood being mixed together and crushed till it becomes wood chips. It is then being pressed together with high pressure and temperature.

Our plain chipboard comes with 4×8 and 6×8 in size and covers varies of thickness and the melamine chipboard is pre-laminated with solid color and woodgrain color of your choices.

A normal chipboard is cheaper and more dense than a standard plywood but is less denser than a medium density fibreboard.

One huge drawback of a chipboard is that the surface are vulnerable to swelling when comes in contact with water especially when it is not covered with spray paint or veneers.

It is usually used on furnitures that are low cost and sustainable enough with standard quality.

Safety precaution is needed when dealing with chipboard because unhealthy chemicals are released when it is being cut.

Cutting a chipboard can release formaldehyde and few other chemicals and will burn the eye when a person stands too close or too long near it.
