Veneered Blockboard
Veneered Blockboard is another one of our most popular timbers, we stock a wide range of veneer faces in standard sizes and thicknesses between 12mm and 55mm at 1220 x 2440mm.
The veneers we stock are European Alder, Red Alder White Ash, Black Ash, Steamed Beech, White Beech and, of course, Oak.
Applications of Veneered Blockbioard
The best suited for staining and polishing is our European Alder Veneered Blockboard, that ranges in colour from orange/red to red/brown, with an even, straight, fine grain that covers the whole surface..
Red Alder is another straight grain with a colour ranging from red/brown to light yellow. Ideally suited to staining and polishing. A superb looking board when sanded and finished.
Our white Ash Veneered Blockboard has a straight fine grain, coarse in surface texture with the grain ranging from light brown to white.
Our Oak Veneered Blockboard is always a favourite with our customers when it comes to making kitchen furniture and fittings, doors and shelving. With a rich, warm colour and finish that is unmistakably oak. Our Oak Veneered Blockboard is available in Crown cut and Quarter cut in standard 1220 x 2440mm and 18mm thickness. You can stain this veneer almost any colour you like or treat it with all kinds of oils and finishes to give a rich and warm solid wood look that is guaranteed to please.
Melamine Faced Chipboard
We also have a great range of Melamine faced chipboard in the ever- popular size 1220 x 2440mm and 15 and 18mm thickness.
Melamine faced chipboard is made by heat bonding chipboard to resin impregnated paper and is a highly versatile product. It is shiny and highly moisture resistant.
Applications of Melamine Faced Chipboard
It is ideally suited to indoor use in applications like shelving, where price is an important feature as well as being light in weight, durable and easy to clean. Being so economical it is a popular choice for building shelves and inexpensive self- assembly furniture. It is also ideal for kitchen furniture and wardrobe construction.
It is available in many colour variations including wood grain finish, which has proved to be very popular for many years. It is a very economical alternative to normal timber or veneer when price is your main consideration. Ideal for the construction of drawers, cabinets, shelving wardrobes, it is reasonably durable and very easy to clean, not so easy to damage or scratch as other veneered timber products.
Properties of Melamine Faced Chipboard
It is made from entirely recycled materials and it is highly economical and easy to clean, sourced from renewable forestry. This is a material that is incredibly time saving as it requires no sanding or finishing as it is pre- finished.

Polyester Plywood is a work of art, from the mixture of compounds to the end product. It is all painstakingly created, step by step to give you a perfect product. Each piece of polyester plywood goes through a process of application of polyester resin, rolling, spreading of the polyester resin, curing and finally cutting. Polyester coating makes the surface of the product very hardy. It provides a scratch and water resistant surface.
Each piece of polyester plywood goes through strict quality inspection before packing.
Plywood is made by coating a layer of unsaturated polyester resin over the panel. Unsaturated polyester resin in its original solid form carries all the advantages of being scratch, heat, water and chemical resistant. It is a lightweight coating material that can withstand extreme changes in temperature.
