MALAYSIAN DOWEL DRAWERS

Custom dowel joinery is a common joint technique in drawer construction. Drawer Connection uses pre-glued dowels in the assembly process, maintaining the structural integrity of each drawer and ensuring that all dowels stay fastened securely. Doweled drawer construction is most commonly used to join the sides and front pieces of a drawer with no nails or screws showing through to mar the beauty of the drawer side.

With Dovetail Drawers, the dovetail joint is a common joint technique in dovetail drawer box construction that consists of a series of cuts that interlock to form a flat edge at the corners and sides and does not require glue or additional hardware to stay fastened. Drawer Connection does however, use glue on all joints. The dovetail joint is most commonly used with glue only to join the sides and front pieces of a drawer. Truly an old-world joint that shows quality craftsmanship.

Malaysia 5/8″ Baltic Birch Plywood Drawer Sides

we aim to make the job at hand easier for you. Our 5/8” Baltic Birch Drawer Sides are just one way we can do that for you.

Each of our 60” pieces comes to you:

  • Bullnosed on the top edge for a nice finished look
  • Pre-grooved with a ¼” dado* that is approximately ¼” from the bottom
  • 5 feet in length so that you can easily cut to your desired drawer depth

Made with 5/8” thick Baltic birch, these pieces make using pocket screws for assembly easy to use. And, these are great for dovetailing.

The drawer sides are available in 5 heights:

  • 3” (2-7/8”)
    4” (3-7/8”)
    6” (5-7/8”)
    8” (7-7/8”
    10” (9-7/8”)

*The ¼” groove is designed to hold ¼” Baltic birch.

THIN-FACED CONIFEROUS PLYWOOD

Thin-layer softwood plywood is commonly used for facades, roofs, and other construction projects. It also works very well in the packaging industry, in the production of furniture, and in wooden accessories. This product differs from thick plywood in the thickness and number of layers of veneer used for its production. Properly impregnated plywood is also resistant to harsh weather conditions, and even UV rays.
