Polish Thin Pine Plywood
Polish Thin Pine Plywood is a multi-laminated pine veneer panel that is manufactured in Poland. This Softwood Plywood is very durable and has a high load bearing capacity, making it ideal as a structural plywood. It also has a smooth and uniform high grade veneer face. This means that it can be used as a decorative wall panel in furniture and joinery.

Polish Thin Pine Plywood is FSC® certified as standard, and comes with a E0.5 formaldehyde rating. It is also moisture resistant in accordance with EN-13986. This makes it ideal for both interior and exterior applications, when suitably treated. Choose from a selection of four face grades (A to C Grade), in a selection of panel sizes.

WELDE is the trade mark that guarantees high quality, safety, excellent results.

The construction plywood WELDE FILM Robusta is the one produced in Bulgaria water-resistant plywood of WELDE Austria. Built from full veneers of wild poplar wood by the species Robusta from the Balkan region, WELDE FILM achieves excellent technical results. Both-sides flat film and painted edges with water-repellent paint make it resistant to concrete mixtures and result in multiple times use. The top benefits by WELDE FILM are long-time use, low product density weight for easy work, the ideal flat surface finish, stable quality.

We offer 1220x2440x20 and 18mm. Avarage thickness of 20mm panels is 19,5mm in a pallet. Many companies sell 20mm but thickness of panels in pallet is 15-19mm. SUNPLY is very good option for cheap film faced plywood.

FORM PLY
Form plywood is specifically manufactured for use in making concrete forms. Strong and stiff, form plywood is overlaid with heavy-duty, phenolic resin paper on one or both sides to create a non-stick surface. This prevents the concrete from adhering to the form and enables easy removal and re-use of the form plywood. The water-repellant overlay paper also prevents moisture from the concrete from damaging the plywood veneers and creates a smooth finish to the concrete. This saves construction time and labour on finishing grinding. When used for concrete subfloors, form plywood must have an F stress grade rating.

Exterior cladding plywood can be an inexpensive way to clad a house or other lightweight structures or to add accents to a design. Available in either a grooved or rough sawn finish, cladding plywood can be either painted or stained to achieve a variety of looks. Strong, yet lightweight, these treated panels are made from New Zealand Radiata Pine and have vertical shiplap joints for easy and watertight installation. As non-bracing cladding, they are manufactured to achieve a minimum of 15 years’ durability*. Plywood cladding cannot be used for all buildings, and you should check the manufacturer’s specifications. A full range of aluminum flashings are available to make installation easy. *In accordance with NZBC Clause B2 Durability.

Roofing Plywood is a structural grade plywood with a plastic tongue and groove down the long edge of the sheet for easy joining over roof trusses. As a structural ply, it is certified to AS/NZS 2269 and available in F8 stress grades and higher. When laying roofing ply, the sheet should always be laid perpendicular to the roof truss to achieve the maximum structural strength, and the sheets should be staggered. Roof ply comes in an unsanded DD surface grade which gives roofers extra grip when installing. As a roofing substrate normally used under shingles or bitumen, care needs to be taken to seal any cut edges with a preservative treatment.

As the name suggests marine plywood is primarily used for boat building, where its superior qualities of strength, consistency and impact resistance have made it the “go to” material for decades. But marine ply also suits a wide number of applications where moisture can be an issue. Kitchens, laundry areas – even saunas and swimming pool changing rooms are ideal locations for marine ply. The main difference with marine ply is the waterproof resin (glue) between each of the thin layers of wood. As well as the resin, marine ply must be constructed to British Standard. But even with these elements, marine ply still needs layers of treatment to maximise its lifespan. The rule of thumb is a layer of epoxy sealant per layer of wood in the ply. Due to its special nature marine plywood is available from PlaceMakers on special order.

Interior plywood lining is easy to use, comes in a range of profiles, wood types and colours that help homeowners and designers create amazing finishes. Whether you’re after a clean, natural look or a traditional ‘V’ groove effect – plywood is an economical answer. Improved bracing characteristics mean some new interior plywood panels can now be attached directly to the house framing – instead of over gib board. This can save homeowners plenty of money on their project. From garages to tiny homes, or to sleek Scandinavian look high-end residences, plywood linings are proving more popular than ever.

Plywood is one of the most popular flooring sheet products as it has excellent strength and bracing properties and is easy to install and maintain. Ply flooring is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The most common thickness for ply flooring is 19mm and the most common treatment is H3.2. Treated ply flooring should be used for the “wet” areas such as bathrooms and laundries, however, some builders prefer to take the extra precaution of using H3.2 treated plywood for the entire building. Flooring ply is available with a tongue and groove (T&G) edge system for easy interlocking. Sheets must be laid perpendicular to the floor joists.

Only structurally tested plywood has a strength rating using an ‘F’ rated system. Any plywood without a strength rating is considered “non-structural”. Architects, engineers and builders need to know the strengths of the components when designing and constructing a building. Depending on the application of the plywood, this will determine what the minimum rating and thickness needs to be. Structural plywood needs to be treated for exterior or wet area use.

Generally, it is a lower grade of plywood and may have open face knots and surface inconsistencies which reflect the practical nature of the product.

No need to sand nor paint.
Had to build a floating cabinet for a microwave. Soft wood yet sturdy. The only part I had to cover was the exposed cut. And that was easy done with iron on tape.

Interior of the cabinet
It’s good because it’s easier that you don’t have to paint or cover within with laminate and the laminate stick very good on it with cement . The material works very quick, it’s light and the price is very low.

What is HPL?
One of the most familiar and widely used engineered decorative furniture surfaces, HPL was originally made famous by the Formica Corporation. It is sold in rigid sheets that are about .028 to .048 inches thick, and must be glued to a substrate, usually particleboard, for furniture and interior applications.

HPL is 60-70 percent paper, saturated with different kinds of plastic resins.

The core of a sheet of HPL is made of several layers of kraft paper (similar to shopping bag paper) saturated with phenolic resin. The visual layer is a sheet melamine-impregnated décor paper with a solid color or printed design, which is topped with a protective wear layer that can also carry metallic or other inclusions for extra design flair.

The material also is available in many different textures.

Why HPL?
HPL is easy to work with and very durable. It’s also available in a vast variety of designs, including custom silkscreened and digital prints.

It differs from materials like TFL, 3DL and decorative foils in that HPL components can be fabricated in the field. It can be cut with standard woodworking tools, and commonly available adhesives are used to bond it to the substrate. Fabricators commonly will cut HPL into strips for matching panel edges.

HPL offers higher impact resistance than other laminates, and has proven itself over 75 years of use in commercial and residential applications.

Special postforming grades of HPL allow fabricators to bend the material to create rounded or contoured edges on opposite, straight sides of a rectangular panel, creating the familiar profiled edges on shelves, countertops, and back splashes. The edges without profiles typically have flat, 90-degree edges.

Because HPL is so easily fabricated, designers and fabricators can choose from many different substrate options to maximize value and performance.

Signage and branded surfaces (with digitally printed and silk-screened designs)

In combination with TFL, lightweight papers, and 3DL with matching or complementary designs

Applications where you want a design that’s not available in any other material.

Commercial: HPL is found extensively in fast-food restaurants, on transaction counters, booths, tabletops, walls, and bathroom dividers. You’ll also see it in offices on reception desks and work surfaces, on hotel room vanities, in elevator cabs, and on airline check-in desks. Care must be taken when using HPL in healthcare and education settings: the edge seams may harbor bacteria, and sharp edges and corners can cause injuries.

Residential: Countertops and vanities, mudrooms, desktops, and on any surface that will be subject to high use or heavy cleaning.

HPL Properties and Performance
HPL sheets faces are glued to a substrate, usually composite wood: particleboard, MDF, or – rarely – plywood

Scratch, wear, impact, and heat resistance sets the standard for laminates

Enhanced wear- and chemical-resistant surfaces are available

Edge treatments are required to protect the surface integrity of HPL-surfaced panels

Panel faces are water and moisture resistant, unlike veneers

Special cores may be specified for moisture and fire resistance

HPL is often used as a more durable, economical alternative to veneer and stone surfaces in high-use applications.

HPL Design
Surface Visuals: Décor papers used in HPL are essentially the same as for TFL. They’re printed on décor papers either on rotogravure or digital inkjet presses with water-based inks. The printing system must be compatible with downstream process – saturating the papers with resins, and pressing them to the composite wood core.

Textures: Woodgrains, gloss/matte variations and other texture effects are imparted to the surface during pressing, using either engraved steel plates or textured release papers. Some of these textures may be “synchronized,” meaning the “ticks” in a woodgrain texture, for example, align perfectly with woodgrain details in the décor paper. HPL can carry deep stone and wood textures, as well as the feel of unfinished, raw wood.

Shapes/Form: HPL-surfaced panels have flat faces and can easily be cut into unique shapes.

Edges: Because HPL is easy to fabricate in the field, unique panel shapes can be edged with narrow strips of HPL cut from the same sheet used for the panel face. Standard HPLs can be glued to gently curved edges. Any sharp angles in an edge require the HPL to be cut.

Special postforming grades of the material may be bent around radiused or contoured edges of the substrate to form bullnose, no-drip, or other edge styles.

Matching or complementary edgebanding in other materials is available in various thicknesses.

Matching Materials: HPL producers publish guides to design matches in complementary materials – TFL, 3DL, decorative paper foils, and edge treatments. HPL is commonly combined with TFL and 3DL to increase design flexibility and to value-engineer the performance required for each surface.

Material Makeup and Manufacturing
The kraft, décor, and wear layers are collated into a sandwich and placed in a large daylight press.

Textured steel plates or release papers are placed over the décor side of the sandwiches.

The layers of core, décor, and wear papers are fused into a sheet under heat and pressure.

This process also embosses the texture into the top of the HPL sheet.

Many different HPL sandwiches can be pressed in a single pressing cycle, each with different decors and textures, making it efficient to produce several different designs at once.

HPL sheets are then cooled, stacked, and shipped to OEMs, fabricators and distributors, and retailers.

HPL Component Fabrication
Fabricating HPL components is a fairly low-tech affair. Surfaces and edges can be glued to the faces and edges with contact adhesives at room temperature, allowing contractors and installers to fabricate many HPL components on-site.

As the HPL adhesive cures, it can cause the substrate to warp. Gluing a lower-grade non-decorative HPL onto the back (or bottom) of the panel will keep the panel balanced. If the panel will be visible on both sides, like a bathroom partition, the same decorative HPL can be applied to both faces.

Environmental Impact
HLP panels are based on composite wood cores that use recycled wood fiber that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated, Composite wood panels made in North America have composite wood cores that have been found to be “better than carbon neutral,” sequestering more carbon than is expended in the panel’s manufacture from cradle to gate.

The material’s realistic woodgrain visuals and textures allow designers to replace fragile and rare woods and veneers with more durable, design-consistent, and cost-effective HPL-surfaced panels.

Because of its high cellulose content, HPL may be safely incinerated for energy.
