malaysian Red Oak A1 P/S, Hardwood Plywood, 3/4-in 4×10

RED OAK A1
PLAIN SLICED – VENEER CORE
3/4″ – 4×10 Red Oak Panel – Plain Sliced – A1 – Veneer Core

This 7-ply Red Oak plywood has Plain Sliced Red Oak veneer on the face and Red Oak on the back.

Red Oak sapwood ranges from white to light brown in color. Most varieties of Red Oak heartwood will have golden, reddish tones, although some display deeper, reddish-brown tones. The wood has a course texture with a straight grain and shorter rays than White Oak.

Plain Sliced – Book Matching – Every other leaf or component of veneer from a given log is turned over to produce a mirror image at the splice joint, much like turning the pages of a book, to produce a very aesthetically appealing look across the face.

Ash is a ring-porous wood with prominent growth ring patterns. The sapwood is light in color and can vary from a creamy color to nearly white. Depending on the species, the heartwood can vary in color from pale yellow to light brown with greyish tones, sometimes tinged with red. A very straight-grained wood, Ash can appear similar to Red Oak, with a coarse, even texture.

AROMATIC CEDAR AA
PLANK MATCH – MDF CORE
3/4″ – 4×8 Aromatic Cedar Plywood – Plank Match – AA – MDF Core

Cedar is known for its attractive red color and sweet smell. The heartwood ranges in color from medium reddish-brown to a deep orange-red. Growth rings are clearly visible with strong contrast between early wood zones and denser, late wood zones. The grain is usually straight, although sometimes marred by knots, and has a coarse texture. Cedar is most well-known for its scent and its ability to repel or kill most insects that might damage clothing and linens.

These panels smell as good as they look!
No finishing or sanding required.

Cedar veneer faces are spliced in book or slip matched patterns or plank matched patterns for a true lumber look.

Plank match is when dissimilar (in color, grain or width) veneer leaves of the same species are specially selected and assembled in a specific order to create a particular look. This method creates a casual or rustic effect. The components may be of different widths within the panel face.

malaysian Hardwood Plywood, Alder Knotty Grade, CC (P/S) 3/4-in 4×10 MDF

ALDER-KNOTTY CC
PLAIN SLICED – PLANK MATCH – MDF CORE
3/4″ – 4×10 Knotty Alder Panel – Plain Sliced with Plank Match – CC – MDF Core

This Knotty Alder MDF panel has an “C” grade Alder veneer on both the face and back .

Alder, when freshly cut, is very pale, almost white in color. As it begins to oxidize, the color grows deeper and takes on golden and red tones. Heartwood occurs only in trees of advanced age. The boundary between Alder sapwood and heartwood is virtually invisible. The wood has a fine, uniform textured with a straight, yet subdued grain.

The veneer is plain sliced and then plank matched to give the veneer faces more of a solid wood look. The use of plank matching will avoid concentrating desired natural characteristics together on a panel face.

Plank match is when dissimilar (in color, grain or width) veneer leaves of the same species are specially selected and assembled in a specific order to create a particular look. This method creates a casual or rustic effect. The components may be of different widths within the panel face.

C Grade/Rustic – Our rustic grade (C) provides the most concentrated level of natural characteristics
