Tongue and Groove plywood is strong and stable, with a pre-sanded C-grade face panel available in a range of thicknesses suitable for use in structural and non-structural flooring. It has a machined groove along its edges, with a single plastic tongue to form a tongue and groove joint between sheets.

The strongest, lightest, most versatile utility and decorative product made from a renewable resource, plywood is kilo for kilo stronger than steel.

Plywood was the first type of engineered wood to be invented. It is made from thin sheets of wood veneer, called plies or veneers. These are stacked together with the direction of each ply’s grain differing from its neighbours by 90° (cross banding). The plies are bonded under heat and pressure with strong adhesives, usually phenol formaldehyde resin, making plywood a type of composite material. Laminating an odd number of plies (3, 5, 7…) reduces warping while increasing the number of plies increases the resistance to shearing forces.

A common reason for using plywood instead of plain wood is its resistance to cracking, shrinkage, twisting/warping, and its general high degree of strength.

Since 2018, We have also included a plywood and coating plant with its own processing and assembly centre . This means that we can now offer our customers plywood in birch, beech or poplar “Made in Germany” — with HPL as well as CPL surface coating on request. In addition, we also supply special plywood with various middle layers such as aluminium core, cork, cork-rubber mixture or heavy-duty foil on request.

Due to their easy processing and versatile uses, MDF (medium density fibreboard) panels are an extremely popular material. For example, they are very often used by carpenters and joiners, especially for interior finishing. Nowadays, flexible panels can also be used to cover bay windows or staircases without any problems. In addition, MDF boards can be covered with wallpaper and, due to their extremely smooth surface, can be perfectly painted clean.

CHARACTERISTICS

MDF panels from Broszeit are available both as a standard version and in flame-retardant, moisture-resistant and low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free variants. They are also heat-insulating and vibration-free.

Blockboards from us can be supplied with various top and middle layers and are extremely versatile. Despite their relatively low weight, they impress with their high stability and flexural strength as well as extreme resilience. Even standard plates with a middle layer of softwood are significantly lighter and more resilient compared to chipboard and MDF — and with an Albasia light middle layer, the weight is even reduced by a further 25 percent. Shelves bend little or not at all and due to the lower amount of glue, blockboard is more environmentally friendly than chipboard or MDF made of fibres.

CHARACTERISTICS

The heavy-duty blockboard can be veneered very well and can be easily processed with all woodworking tools and machines. Their precise processability also enables different plastic coatings.
